HIFU Body Treatment

Loose or less firm body skin can become more noticeable after weight changes, pregnancy or simply over time. HIFU Body is a non-surgical treatment designed to help tighten and firm selected areas of the body without incisions or lengthy downtime.

At Clinic RX, HIFU Body is performed using ULTRAcel Q+. Focused ultrasound energy is delivered beneath the skin to create controlled heat at selected depths, supporting collagen renewal and a firmer, more defined appearance over time.

Your treatment is personalised according to the area being treated, the degree of skin laxity, tissue thickness and your individual body-contouring goals.

What Is HIFU Body?

What is HIFU Body

HIFU Body is a non-invasive treatment that uses High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound to deliver energy beneath the surface of the skin.

Instead of treating only the surface, the ultrasound energy reaches selected deeper tissue layers where controlled heat can stimulate the body's natural collagen response. As collagen gradually renews, the treated skin may look firmer, tighter and smoother.

At Clinic RX, we use ULTRAcel Q+ for HIFU Body treatment. The device allows the doctor to select an appropriate treatment depth and approach according to the area and concern being treated.

HIFU Body is best suited to selected areas of mild to moderate skin laxity and body-contouring concerns. It is not a weight-loss treatment or a replacement for surgical body contouring.

How Does HIFU Body Work?

HIFU Body works by sending focused ultrasound energy to specific depths beneath the skin. The energy creates controlled heat in the targeted tissue without cutting or damaging the skin surface.

This heat triggers a natural healing and collagen-remodelling response. Existing collagen fibres contract, while new collagen develops gradually over the following weeks and months.

The result is not an overnight change. Instead, the treated area gradually becomes firmer and more supported as the skin responds to treatment.

Depending on your concern and the treatment protocol selected, ULTRAcel Q+ can also be used to support contouring of suitable areas where localised fullness is present.

What Can HIFU Body Help With?

Benefits of HIFU Body
  • Loose or less firm body skin
  • Mild to moderate skin laxity
  • Softened body contours
  • Abdominal skin laxity after weight changes
  • Loose-looking upper-arm skin
  • Thigh skin that has lost firmness
  • Selected back, knee or buttock areas
  • People who want non-surgical body tightening with minimal downtime

The best treatment depends on what is causing the concern. If the main issue is a larger amount of unwanted fat or reduced muscle definition rather than skin laxity, another body treatment may be more suitable.

Areas That Can Be Treated with HIFU Body

HIFU Body can be considered for several areas where the skin has become less firm or the contour has softened.

HIFU Body treatment areas
  • Abdomen
  • Upper arms
  • Thighs
  • Back
  • Around the knees
  • Buttocks

Not every area will require the same treatment depth or number of shots. Your doctor will assess the skin and tissue before deciding on the most appropriate treatment plan.

What Results Can I Expect from HIFU Body?

HIFU Body results develop gradually. Some clients may notice that the treated area feels slightly firmer after treatment, but the more noticeable changes usually appear as collagen continues to renew.

Depending on your starting condition and individual response, HIFU Body may help provide:

  • Firmer-looking body skin
  • Improved skin tightness
  • Smoother-looking body contours
  • Improved skin elasticity
  • A more defined appearance in selected treatment areas

Collagen remodelling continues over time, so results may continue improving for around two to three months after treatment.

Results vary between individuals. HIFU Body is designed to create gradual, natural-looking improvement rather than the dramatic change associated with surgery.

Who Is Suitable for HIFU Body?

HIFU Body treatment in progress
  • Adults with mild to moderate body skin laxity
  • People who want firmer-looking skin without surgery
  • People with softened contours after weight changes
  • People who prefer minimal downtime
  • People with realistic expectations about gradual, non-surgical improvement

Suitability depends on your skin condition, tissue thickness, treatment area and medical history.

Who May Not Be Suitable for HIFU Body?

HIFU Body may not be appropriate for everyone. Your doctor will assess your medical history before treatment.

  • Pregnancy
  • Active infection, inflammation or open wounds in the treatment area
  • Certain implanted medical devices or metal near the treatment area
  • Certain medical conditions that affect healing or sensation
  • Recent surgery or procedures in the treatment area that have not fully healed
  • Areas where the available treatment depth is not suitable for the tissue thickness

Always tell your doctor about your medical conditions, medications, previous procedures and any implanted devices before treatment.

HIFU Body Side Effects & Risks

HIFU Body is non-surgical, but temporary treatment-related effects can occur.

HIFU Body safety and precautions
  • Redness
  • Mild swelling
  • Tenderness
  • Warmth
  • Tingling
  • Temporary sensitivity or altered sensation
  • Occasional bruising

These effects are usually temporary. Less common complications can occur with focused-ultrasound treatments, which is why correct assessment, treatment depth and technique are important.

Your doctor will explain the risks relevant to your treatment area before proceeding.

Is There Downtime After HIFU Body?

Downtime is generally minimal, and most clients can return to their usual daily activities after treatment.

The treated area may feel warm, tender or slightly sensitive for a short period. Mild redness or swelling may also occur and usually settles gradually.

Recovery varies between individuals and treatment areas.

HIFU Body Aftercare

HIFU Body post-treatment assessment
  • Keep well hydrated
  • Avoid excessive heat exposure to the treated area for 24–48 hours if advised
  • Avoid unnecessarily rubbing or irritating the area if it feels sensitive
  • Wear comfortable clothing over the treated area
  • Continue a balanced diet and regular activity
  • Follow your doctor's personalised aftercare instructions
  • Contact Clinic RX if you experience unusual, severe or persistent symptoms

How Many HIFU Body Sessions Do I Need?

There is no fixed number of sessions that suits everyone.

Some clients may notice improvement after one treatment, while others may benefit from additional or maintenance sessions depending on:

  • Degree of skin laxity
  • Treatment area
  • Starting skin condition
  • Individual collagen response
  • Desired result

Because HIFU results develop gradually, your doctor may recommend allowing time for collagen remodelling before deciding whether another treatment is needed.

How Much Does HIFU Body Cost?

The cost of HIFU Body depends on the treatment area, size of the area and the treatment plan recommended for you.

A smaller area such as around the knees may require a different treatment plan from a larger area such as the abdomen or thighs.

At Clinic RX, your doctor will assess the area first so that the recommended treatment and pricing match your actual concern.

HIFU Body FAQs

What is HIFU Body?

HIFU Body is a non-surgical treatment that uses focused ultrasound energy beneath the skin to stimulate collagen renewal and improve firmness in selected body areas.

What HIFU machine does Clinic RX use for the body?

Clinic RX uses ULTRAcel Q+ for HIFU Body treatment. Your doctor selects the treatment approach according to the area, tissue thickness and concern being treated.

Does HIFU Body tighten loose skin?

HIFU Body is mainly used to improve mild to moderate skin laxity and firmness. It stimulates a collagen-remodelling response beneath the skin, so improvement develops gradually.

Can HIFU Body reduce fat?

Depending on the treatment protocol and your tissue, ULTRAcel Q+ may also be used to support contouring of selected areas. If unwanted fat is your main concern, your doctor may recommend a dedicated fat-reduction treatment instead.

Which areas can be treated?

Suitable areas may include the abdomen, upper arms, thighs, back, knees and buttocks. Your doctor will confirm whether the area is appropriate after assessment.

Is HIFU Body painful?

Most clients describe warmth, tingling or brief prickling sensations during treatment. Comfort varies according to the area, settings and individual sensitivity.

When will I see results?

Results are gradual. Skin firmness can continue improving over the following weeks as collagen renews, with more noticeable improvement often developing over approximately two to three months.

Is there downtime?

Downtime is usually minimal. Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or sensitivity can occur, but most clients can return to their normal routine.

Is HIFU Body a weight-loss treatment?

No. HIFU Body is intended for body skin tightening and selected contour concerns. It is not designed for significant weight loss.

Can HIFU Body replace surgery?

No. HIFU Body is a non-surgical option for suitable mild to moderate concerns. It cannot produce the same degree of change as surgical skin removal or liposuction.

Can HIFU Body be combined with other body treatments?

Yes, in suitable clients. If you have a combination of loose skin, unwanted fat or reduced muscle definition, your doctor may discuss a combination treatment plan.
