FACE TREATMENTS
For gradual facial volume restoration, hollowing and collagen stimulation
At Clinic RX, Sculptra treatment is personalised according to your facial anatomy, degree and pattern of volume loss, and treatment goals.
It is commonly considered for broader facial volume loss, hollow cheeks or temples, and patients who prefer subtle, progressive rejuvenation rather than an immediate change.

Sculptra is an injectable collagen biostimulator made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible and biodegradable material.
Unlike a conventional volumising filler that mainly adds volume through the injected gel itself, Sculptra works by stimulating your skin to produce new collagen.
The change is therefore gradual. Facial support and volume develop progressively over a course of treatment as collagen builds over the following weeks and months.
Once injected into the appropriate tissue layer, PLLA particles stimulate a controlled healing response that encourages fibroblasts to produce new collagen.
You may notice temporary fullness immediately after treatment from the injected solution and swelling, but this settles. The true Sculptra result develops later as your own collagen gradually increases.
Because collagen production takes time, Sculptra is generally planned as a treatment course rather than a one-session instant volumising treatment.

Sculptra is particularly useful when volume loss is more widespread rather than limited to one small area. The appropriate treatment depends on your facial anatomy and the cause of the volume change.
Selected body areas may also be considered in some treatment protocols. Treatment areas, dilution and amount used should be individualised according to medical assessment.
Sculptra is not designed to create a dramatic immediate result. Any early fullness from the injected solution or swelling reduces after treatment.
The true result develops progressively as collagen production increases over the following weeks and months, with improvement becoming more apparent across the recommended treatment course.
Results vary according to the degree of volume loss, number of sessions, amount used and individual collagen response.

Suitability varies between individuals and should be confirmed during consultation.
Tell your doctor about your medical history, medications, allergies and all previous facial filler or biostimulator treatments before proceeding.
As with any injectable treatment, Sculptra can cause temporary injection-related effects and carries uncommon but potentially significant complications.

As with other injectable procedures, more serious complications are uncommon but require prompt medical assessment if suspected.
Downtime is generally mild. Redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur immediately after injection.
Swelling is often most noticeable during the first 24-72 hours and then gradually settles. Once this temporary fullness reduces, the treated area may initially look similar to before treatment because the true collagen-driven result develops progressively over the following weeks and months.

Post-treatment massage is an important part of Sculptra aftercare. Your doctor will advise the appropriate massage frequency and duration for your treatment plan.
The cost of Sculptra varies according to the number of vials and treatment sessions required.
At Clinic RX, your facial anatomy, degree of volume loss and treatment goals are assessed before an appropriate treatment course and pricing are discussed.

Sculptra is an injectable collagen biostimulator made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). It stimulates your body's own collagen production to gradually restore facial volume over a course of treatment.
PLLA particles stimulate a controlled healing response that encourages new collagen production. Facial support and volume then develop progressively over the following weeks and months.
Sculptra is generally described as a collagen biostimulator rather than a conventional volumising filler. Its main result comes from stimulating your own collagen rather than simply leaving a volumising gel in the tissue.
Temporary fullness immediately after treatment settles. The true collagen-driven result develops gradually over the following weeks and months and becomes more apparent across the treatment course.
A course of approximately two to four sessions spaced around four to six weeks apart is commonly planned. The actual number depends on your volume loss and individual collagen response.
Results can last up to around two years, although longevity varies according to individual collagen response, treatment course and natural ageing.
Yes. Sculptra may be considered for broader cheek and mid-face volume loss in suitable patients, with improvement developing gradually as collagen increases.
Sculptra may be used for selected temple hollowing depending on facial anatomy and medical assessment.
Post-treatment massage helps distribute the injected product evenly within the tissue and is recommended as part of aftercare to help reduce the risk of palpable nodules. Follow the massage routine given by your doctor.
Numbing may be used to improve comfort. Patients may feel mild pressure or injection discomfort during treatment.
No. Both are collagen-stimulating injectables, but they use different materials and have different treatment characteristics. Sculptra uses PLLA and is generally planned as a gradual multi-session collagen-restoration treatment.
This page provides general information about Sculptra and does not replace an individual medical consultation. Treatment suitability, expected results, number of sessions, duration and potential risks vary between individuals.
