FACE TREATMENTS
For facial volume loss, jawline and chin contouring, hand rejuvenation and collagen stimulation
At Clinic RX, Radiesse treatment is personalised according to your facial anatomy, skin thickness, degree of volume loss and treatment goals.
It may be used for selected facial volume loss, jawline and chin contouring, hand rejuvenation, and skin-quality improvement when used in an appropriate hyperdiluted protocol.

Radiesse is an injectable filler made from calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier.
It works in two ways: the gel provides immediate volume and structural support after injection, while the CaHA microspheres act as a temporary scaffold that stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen.
As the gel carrier is gradually absorbed, collagen continues to support the treated tissue. The CaHA microspheres are eventually broken down and cleared by the body.
Immediately after injection, the gel carrier adds volume and support to the treated area. This allows contouring changes to be visible straight away, although temporary swelling can influence the early appearance.
Over the following weeks and months, the CaHA microspheres stimulate new collagen formation around the treated tissue. As the gel is absorbed, this collagen helps support the longer-term result.
Radiesse can also be used in a hyperdiluted protocol for selected skin-quality concerns, where the treatment goal is collagen stimulation rather than structural volumising.

The most appropriate treatment depends on your anatomy, skin thickness, degree of volume loss and whether the goal is structural contouring or collagen stimulation.

Selected additional areas may be considered depending on the treatment protocol and medical assessment. Radiesse is generally not recommended for lip augmentation.
The initial contouring effect is visible immediately, although swelling may temporarily influence the appearance.
Collagen-driven improvement continues to develop over the following months. Results are temporary and vary according to the treatment area, amount used, protocol and individual response.

Suitability varies between individuals and should be confirmed during consultation.
Tell your doctor about your medical history, medications, allergies and all previous filler or aesthetic treatments before proceeding.
As with any injectable filler, Radiesse can cause temporary injection-related effects and carries uncommon but potentially significant complications.

Less common risks include palpable or visible nodules, asymmetry, delayed-onset nodules or granuloma formation.
Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, Radiesse cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase. This is an important consideration before treatment. Serious filler complications are uncommon but require prompt medical assessment if suspected.
Downtime is generally mild. Redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur immediately after injection.
Swelling is often most noticeable during the first 24-72 hours and then gradually settles. The initial structural result becomes clearer as swelling decreases, while collagen-driven improvement continues over the following months.

The cost of Radiesse varies according to the treatment area, amount of product required, dilution protocol and number of sessions recommended.
At Clinic RX, your anatomy and treatment goals are assessed before an appropriate treatment plan and pricing are discussed.

Radiesse is an injectable dual-action filler made from calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. It provides immediate structural volume while also stimulating collagen production over time.
The gel carrier provides immediate volume after injection. CaHA microspheres then act as a temporary scaffold that stimulates new collagen formation as the gel is gradually absorbed.
Radiesse has both functions. It provides immediate filler-like structural volume and also stimulates collagen production through its CaHA microspheres.
Results commonly last around 12 to 18 months, although individual longevity varies according to the treatment area, amount used, protocol and individual response.
Yes. Radiesse may be used for selected jawline and chin contouring where structural support or definition is required, depending on individual anatomy.
Radiesse may be used to restore selected cheek and mid-face volume in suitable patients.
Yes. Radiesse may be used to restore selected age-related hand volume loss and reduce the appearance of prominent tendons in suitable patients.
Hyperdiluted Radiesse refers to a protocol where the product is diluted for selected skin-quality and collagen-stimulation goals rather than primarily for structural volumising.
Radiesse is generally not recommended for lip augmentation. A different filler type may be more appropriate depending on the treatment goal.
No. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, Radiesse cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase. This is an important consideration when choosing an injectable treatment.
Numbing may be used to improve comfort. Patients may feel mild pressure or injection discomfort during treatment.
Structural contouring is often performed in one session for a specific goal, while selected hyperdiluted skin-quality protocols may involve a short course of sessions.
This page provides general information about Radiesse and does not replace an individual medical consultation. Treatment suitability, expected results, number of sessions, duration and potential risks vary between individuals.
