LASER & ENERGY
For facial redness, rosacea-related concerns, melasma, uneven skin tone, acne scars, pores and mild skin laxity
Unlike many RF microneedling treatments, Sylfirm X offers both pulsed-wave (PW) and continuous-wave (CW) modes. This allows the treatment approach to be selected according to whether the main concern is redness or pigment, or skin tightening and texture.
At Clinic RX, Sylfirm X treatment is personalised according to your skin concern, skin tone, vessel or pigment pattern and individual skin response.
Sylfirm X is a dual-wave RF microneedling platform. Fine, gold-coated microneedles create controlled microchannels in the skin and deliver RF energy directly into the dermis at an adjustable depth.
A key feature of Sylfirm X is its ability to deliver RF energy in two different waveforms from the same platform:

The treatment mode, needle depth and energy settings are selected according to the concern being treated rather than using the same protocol for every patient.
Fine microneedles enter the skin and deliver controlled RF energy at a selected depth. The microneedling itself creates a controlled healing response, while RF energy adds thermal stimulation within the tissue.
Pulsed-wave protocols can be selected when redness, vascular or pigment-related concerns are the priority. Continuous-wave protocols create broader heating to support collagen and elastin remodelling for firmness, pores and texture.
Collagen-related changes develop gradually over the following weeks and months, while redness or tone-related improvement may develop progressively over a course of sessions.

The treatment recommended will depend on whether redness, pigment, scarring, pores, texture or laxity is the main concern.

The areas treated, needle depth and RF mode will depend on your skin concern and medical assessment.
Results develop gradually and vary between individuals. Redness and pigment concerns may require several sessions, while collagen-related improvements in scars, texture and firmness generally continue developing over the following weeks and months.
Chronic conditions such as rosacea and melasma are managed over time rather than permanently resolved with a fixed number of treatments.
Suitability varies between individuals and should be confirmed during consultation.
Tell your doctor about your medical history, medications, skincare products and previous aesthetic treatments before proceeding.
Sylfirm X is generally associated with mild downtime, but all needle-based energy treatments carry potential side effects and risks.
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation may occur, particularly in skin prone to marking after inflammation. Risk varies according to skin tone, treatment depth, RF mode and individual response.
Downtime is usually mild. Redness, warmth and tiny pinpoint marks are expected immediately after treatment and are generally most visible during the first few hours.
The skin may feel warm or mildly sensitive during the first 24-48 hours. Pinpoint marks typically fade within a day or two. Avoid picking, scrubbing or aggressively exfoliating the treated area while it heals.
The cost of Sylfirm X varies according to the treatment area, concern being treated, needle depth or RF mode and number of sessions recommended.
At Clinic RX, the appropriate treatment plan and pricing can be discussed after your skin has been assessed.

Sylfirm X is a dual-wave RF microneedling treatment that delivers radiofrequency energy through fine microneedles. It offers both pulsed-wave and continuous-wave modes for different skin concerns.
Pulsed-wave mode delivers RF energy in short pulses and is used in protocols for selected redness, vascular and pigment-related concerns. Continuous-wave mode provides broader heating associated with collagen remodelling, tightening and texture improvement.
Sylfirm X may be considered for selected facial redness, visible small vessels and rosacea-related concerns. Rosacea is chronic, so treatment is generally part of a broader ongoing management plan.
It may be considered for selected patients as part of a broader melasma management plan. Melasma is recurrent, so consistent sun protection and ongoing care remain important.
RF microneedling may help remodel collagen in selected acne scars. Deeper or tethered scars may require additional treatments depending on the scar type.
Sylfirm X may improve the appearance of enlarged pores by supporting collagen remodelling and improving surrounding skin texture. Pores cannot be permanently removed.
Continuous-wave protocols create dermal heating associated with collagen remodelling and may improve mild skin laxity and firmness over time.
Sylfirm X may be considered across a range of skin tones because RF energy is delivered below the skin surface rather than relying mainly on melanin absorption. Settings should still be personalised to reduce the risk of unwanted skin reactions.
Topical numbing cream is usually applied. Patients commonly describe warmth and a prickling sensation during treatment.
Downtime is usually mild. Redness and tiny pinpoint marks are expected and typically settle within one to two days.
Redness and tone-related changes may develop progressively over several sessions, while collagen-related changes in texture and firmness generally develop over weeks to months.
There is no fixed number for everyone. A course of several sessions spaced weeks apart may be recommended depending on the concern, severity and individual response.
This page provides general information about Sylfirm X and does not replace an individual medical consultation. Treatment suitability, RF mode, needle depth, settings, expected results, number of sessions and potential risks vary between individuals.
